The National Library of Finland Examines Open-Source Public Interface Solution and integration to the Primo Central Index

After a Primo pilot project, conducted in close collaboration between the National Library of Finland, eight pilot organizations, and Ex Libris, the National Library has decided to examine possibilities to develop an open-source solution to provide access to the Primo Central Index and the National Digital Library (NDL) collections. The original objectives of the Public Interface of NDL—a joint service for the content and services of archives, libraries,
and museums—will remain the same.

The National Library of Finland considers the products and services of Ex Libris and partnership with the company valuable, when developing the technical infrastructure and services for the Finnish library, museum and archive network.
